Phalaenopsis are the easiest and most available orchids on the planet.  They prefer warm conditions, but do equally well in intermediate conditions.  They prefer to be kept evenly moist in a well drained medium.

     The species is in the background of many modern hybrids. These plants are in 3" pots and in spike with buds. Phals are easy rebloomers.  Pure white flowers last for months.  This is a 'miniature' type species and suitable for under lights or on the window-sill.

    Prolific species that produces keikis and can make a nice specimen plant after a few years.  Can be grown in a hanging basket to allow keikis to casscade around pots.

    A knockout "Orange-Peach" color which is not often seen.  Multiple spikes on these.  Just spiking 6/20/05.  To bloom withing 4-6 weeks approximately.  Fragrant!

    Phal Golden Peoker 'BL' HCC/AOS. These strong growing plants are almost always in bloom. Flowers can last for 4 months or longer. Very heavy substance white flowers with heavy red blotches makes this plant stand out at at flower shows where it usually wins a ribbon.

    Phalaenopsis leucorrhoda is a species from the Phillipines and blooms in spring with white flowers lateral sepals contain fine maroon spots.  Foliage is beautifully mottled .

    A wonderful phal species with beautiful mottled leaves.  Blooms in winter and spring with fragrant pink flowers.  This species is in the background of many of todays hybrids.  Very desirable and does well in low light and warm temperatures.  Leaves will grow to 12 " or more if allowed to hand freely over sides of pots or if mounted.

    (Golden Peoker x   New Sentra)

    A relatively recent 'Harlequin" hybrid.   Phal. Golden Peoker is the original "Harlequin" breeder, which is white with random large dark purple-black splotches.  Phalaenopsis New Sentra = (Golden Sun x Green Sentra), which is yellow with brown-purple spots.  Expect heavy substance flowers with a base color of cream, light yellow, to dark yellow.  The sepals and petals will be variously marked with dark purple-black blotches.  The best of these could flower nearly solid purple-black.
