Angraecum group primarily native to Africa, Madagascar, and the Indian Ocean Islands. Noteworthy genera include Aerangis, Aeranthes, Angraecum, Eurychone, Jumellia, and Plectrelminthus. There are also a few South American members of this group such asCampylocentrum. Flowers are usually white or cream with a long nectary spur. Flowers are often strongly fragrant.

An unusual Angraecoid from Columbia, South America probably developed before South America and Africa /Madagascar split. Flowers are bristle shaped, white and are held closely to the stem, 10-20 flowers per inflorencence.
